Global convention '99 reevaluated goals and aspirations of 18 million people of Indian origin (PIO) living outside India. Conference Topics were Politics (Human Rights, Political Participation and the New World Order), Religion (Secularism, Religion and the National Ethos), Education (Educational Patterns and Economic Trends), Socio-cultural (Intra-Inter Ethnic Conflict, Women, Men and the Family), and Youth (Adjustment, Inter-generational Conflict and Challenges of the Future).
